What Was That

I hear drip, drip, drip
What was that?!
Loud BOOM is close at hand
Sound like a marching band
Then a flicker of light fills up in the sky
THUNDERSTORM!!

Walking with You

Walking along the path with You
Today and everyday
We talk, walk, and look all around
Sometimes we have no words at all
But, that is alright
Just as long as I have you and You have me
That's what it is all about.

A Special Place

There is a corner of the room
That is made especially for you
With bright sunlight, a tall green plant  and Mama's rocking chair
A tall wooden shelf with all the books your heart desires
You are always welcome to come by and sit in the room
That is made especially for YOU!

Another Day for Lily, Milly, and Willy

Lily, Mily, and Willy met at the Ice Cream Bar
They didn't have to go far
The friends sat, ate and chatted and played gin rummy
Joe, the Ice Cream Man keep feeding them  special treats
When their tummies were full, there were thanks all around and
then Lily, Milly, and Willy decided to go and come back around
for a day at the Ice Cream Bar.

Books

Today, instead of writing a poem, I want to talk about books.  I love to read. So, I have been
spending most of my time doing that.

The Sandman

The Sandman did not come last night
He forgot to knock at the door
What did do that for
Tossing and turning all around
Now makes me all foggy in the head
Oh! I need to go to bed.
The Sandman did not come last night!

The Adventures of Lily, Milly and Willy

Lily and Milly went out to play for the day

They got on their bikes to find their friend Willy

Then they got silly.....They danced and pranced

and twirled around.  With all the wiggles and giggles,

they fell down.

It was time to get back on their bikes to Joe's Place

 for an Ice Cream treat and they took a seat.

Then the day was done and back on the bikes,

until is was time for another fun day for Lily, 

Milly and Willy!

The Day

The rain came pouring down
Without a sound
The clouds are dark and dreary
But the sun tries to shine its glory onto this day
What more can I say!
