Patience, My Dear, Patience

Patience is what I have
Paitence is what I must have
For the long, long journey
Has just begun
Just today, I submitted
A Children Story in a Children's
Writing Contest.
A story written on this blog
called, The Cat
It has been revised and revised
and revised
To, Kitty Cat Ran Out The Window
I may be totally out of my league
But, you have to start somewhere
So, I did!
Oh! I also submitted a poem
that I wrote on the blog
called Friendship
To a Children' Magazine
I may be totally out of my league

So I did!

The Journey

Walking along the path of life with you
You make my heart sing
Your encouraging words for me
Tell me that my dream can come true
So with every breathe that I take
The dream of seeing my words in print
For all the world to see
Is what I have always wanted to do
So that is what I shall do
The Journey Begins!

My Words

Sometimes the words flow so easy
With ryhme and reason
But then there are the times
When the words are stuck in the brain
For no words come out to grace
The pages upon I write
Patience is the game to play
For I know the words will come

To My Uncle Murray

I will always remember the bright wide smile
You always gave to greet me thoughout the years
Giving me a big hug and a kiss
After with your arms outstretched with your hands in mine
Saying,"I'm so glad you to see you,so glad you are here."
I can hear your voice as the words are said
You were quite the dancer
I will always remember the first time as a teenager
You took my hand and said,"Let's dance!"
My response was to you,"I can't dance!"
Your words to me have struck to this day
As you whirled me around the dance floor
Saying,"All you need is a good leader!"
That you were.
I will miss you Uncle Murray.
You were my favorite Uncle.

The Candle In The Window

I have always opened my heart to you
Stood beside you through good times and bad
There was a short time where you did the same
Expressing feelings that were long to come
But I knew they would
Pride swelled up deep down in the soul
For you had grown to understand
Who the players are
Perhaps that was the first chapter
Because now the book is closed
Trying very hard to search new facts on my own
But I have learned far too much
And I need not know anymore.
Just in case, a new chapter needs
To be written by you
A candle will be burning in the window
To guide you to our door.

I call you each and every week
Never knowing what to expect
Sometimes you are clear
Sometimes you are not
You said you love to hear
The stories of my life
As long as you want
To know, rest assure
The stories will be told
You said that you loved us both
We love you, too.

Friendship

Like a flower ready to bloom
Takes nurturing, love, and patience
For when it blossoms
How beautiful it will be!

Dreaming

Looking up at that bright sparkling
Star in the night sky
I wished for all good things
Upon that bright shining star
I wished for laughter, love and joy
Now I have it all the way down to my toes.
As you said, My dear, dreams do come true!
Indeed, they do!
