The Cat

The cat sat all day on the window sill
Imagining what was going on outdoors
Suddenly, his little friend, Sally
Opened the window where her Kitty Cat sat
FREEDOM! Out the window he leaped!
How delightful this was!
He saw birds and squirrels and he
started to begin a chase.
To his surprise, they all ran up the tree.
The Kitty Cat started to climb up that tree,
but nothing was there.
He started to meow because he didn't
know how to come down.
His meows got louder, and LOUDER, and LOUDER!
All of a sudden, he saw his friend, Sally
climbing up the tree and she reached up high
and as gentle as she could be
She carefully put her Kitty Cat in her arms
And climbed down from the tree.
The Kitty Cat's meow turned into
One big PURR!

Together

Sitting and watching the waves
Come ashore
As the rushing, rippling sound
Abounds our being
We are here together
To experience the glory of the day!

My Moment

The task may not be easy
Each and every day
When down the halls I do go
To make a difference in their lives
Knowing that I am not the regular one
So meeting that challenge is quite a feat
The feeling that comes in the heart
Is a very special one
For my moment in the sun
Comes out strong and bright!

GoodBye

The day had arrived when Uncle Jack
had to go, When Less heard the news
He yelled,"No!"
The day before he left, they spent
the whole day outside on the new playset
Uncle Jack pushed Less on the swing and
Less even watched as Uncle Jack had
his turn on the swing.
They went down the slide and sang some songs
and had so much fun.
As a special treat Uncle Jack and Less
went out to lunch
Baby Less decided to go to Burger King
for a Burger and Fries
And they did munch
Then it was back home
And Uncle Jack sat awhile
because he would be gone soon
Then it was time for him to go
Less said,"Wait, don't go!"
He ran to his room and in his
hand was one of the shells that
Uncle Jack found.
Uncle Jack picked up Baby Less
and said,"Thanks so much partner,
I will keep this always."
Mama Tess, Papa Wess, and Less
all went outside to bid farewell to
special Uncle Jack
As Uncle Jack drove away
Mama Tess looked down and saw
some tears in Less's eyes
She picked him up and gave
him a hug and said,"Uncle Jack
wiil be back, and that is a fact."

The Drive Home

It had been a long day with Uncle Jack
Baby Less fell asleep dreaming of all the shells
in the sack.
He was so excited to show his Mama Tess what they had found
Less know his Mama would love to look and decorate the house
with pretty shells.
There would be lamps with shells, jars of shells, baskets of
shells, and even shells to hold.
Mama Tess loved shells. She had some that you could hear
the roar of the ocean.
Less thought about how he liked those the best
Less opened his eyes and Uncle Jack said,
"Hey, partner, we are heading west."
Baby Less knew he would be home soon.
He finally saw his house and began to smile
because there on the lawn was his Mama Tess
She started to wave and came to the car
She welcomed them back with hugs and kisses,
and said,"Papa Wess is waiting for you, too."
The four sat down to dinner and what a winner!
Chicken legs and dumplings, and apple pie
Uncle Jack talked about their adventures
and finding the shells and just at that moment
Baby Less said,"Sack, Mama!"
Mama Tess went over the the sack and let out
a loud shout,"Oh! Less, thank you, how sweet!"

The Outing

Uncle Jack and Less jumped into the car
Less wanted to know if they would go far
The traveled awhile and stopped for lunch
and munched on the good food Mama Tess made
Then it was time to be on there way
Because they were going to the bay
As they drove they started to sing
After awhile, Less fell asleep
And there was not a peep
Finally, they stopped at the bay
and it was time for a fun day.
It was time for Less to wake up
Less looked all around and with a big smile,
said,"Go,Unc Yack!" and so they did.
They strolled on the sand and found some shells
that went into the sack.
The sea gulls were flying and they ran with the gulls.
Less and his Uncle Jack built sand castles and sand pies
and used some of the shells on top of the tower.
They were there for many hours
And it was time to go back home.
As they walked to the car
Less took Uncle Jack's hand and said,
"Thank you, Unc Yack!"
As he said that, Uncle Jack held
Less up high and placed him on
his shoulders and they went back to the car.

The Party

Another birthday was coming and Uncle Jack was here
Who's party you may ask?
Why it is Baby Less's number 2!
This time the guest were few
Mama Tess, Papa Wess, and Uncle Jack
They decided to give Less a special treat
They thought why not try a Burger King Burger.
The foursome arrived at the Burger Place and
Ordered a small burger for the birthday boy
Oh! what joy!
As Less took a bite one big bite,
He yelled out,"Good, More!"
Jack ordered some fries, and gave them
to Less. With the ketchup and fries
There was a mess.
Then it was time to head on home
For the cake was made and a big surprise!
They sat down to wait for Mama Tess to
Bring the cake in and out came the singing
Happy Birthday to you!
The cake was so yummy and went all in their tummy
Next was time for Less's surprise.
Outside they all went and to his surprise
Out in the back was his very own swing set and a slide.
Baby Less ran over and gave them all a hug
And went by the swing with a big smile on his face
And said,"Up

The Sack

Uncle Jack ran with all his might to the kitchen
To munch on eggs and bacon
Baby Less stayed behind and looked and looked
at the green sack
He knew he should not touch it, or move it,
or even try to pick it up
So, he thought he would wait until breakfast was done
Then he found out that this was no fun
And he was getting hungry.
Less made his way to the kitchen for some bacon
But, it was all taken
When Uncle Jack saw his face, he knew it was time
for the surprise in the sack
Uncle Jack placed the sack in front of Baby Less
And helped him open the sack
When the sack came open, Less was so happy
As well as his hungry tummy
He saw his favorite snack-Chips and Dip!
He jumped up and down and kissed his Uncle on the cheek
Uncle Jack said,"There's more."
Less looked again. Right before his eyes was a
smalll grey stuffed kitten
Less sat on the floor and wanted to eat his chips
and dip with his new stuffed kitten, Mitten.

Less's Joy

When the morning light became a glow
Less stood up on his toes
He could not believe his eyes
As Less was jumping up and down
He shouted,"OOO! Yeee! His Uncle Jack
had arrived!
Jack heard the noise and reached out to Less
And said,"Come here, my boy!"
Tess and Wess heard the noise
And came to see the joy that filled the room
They all danced a merry tune.
Less saw the sack that Uncle Jack had
He wanted to open the sack right then and there
But, Mama Tess had plans all made
It was time for Jack's favorite breakfast
Eggs and Bacon.
So, Less had to wait to view the sack
And knew in awhile that they would be back.

Less and The Guest

The Guest was gone for some time
So, Mama Tess and Papa Wess thought they would
check to see if he was fine
The house was big with lots of rooms
So the search took some time
Finally, they reached the room down the hall
And in that room they saw Baby Less with
the guest who was so tall
It was a precious sight to see them resting side by side
Tess and Wess turned out the light
And let them rest until the morning light
They will wait for Less to awake!
Oh! What a sight!

The Guest Hug

The hug at the door went on for a long long time
Less kept watching Mama and Papa hug this guest
with all their might
Less wondered if they would continue through
the night because it was a sight
They kept hugging and looking and saying,
Wow! You look great! I'm so glad you are here!
Little Less decided to leave and go to his room
He hoped they would let him see the guest soon
Baby Less decided to play with his toys
And got tired and started to rest
It seemed like a long time, but only awhile
Into the room, went the guest, he didn't want
to wake Baby Less, so he gave him a kiss with
his arm around Less he laid down to rest.
What a surprise it will be when the baby rises
to see who is resting beside.

The Guest

Less knows the guest will be arriving soon
and Mama said it would be at noon
Less starts to make drawings with crayons and pens
and puts them up all over the room for the guest who is arriving soon
Mama made a special dinner
That will be winner
She also has baked a cake and made some cookies
Oh! how good it smells.
Then all of a sudden, Less hears a loud voice cry out,
Oh! you are here!
Less comes running and all he could see was Mama Tess
And Papa Wess hugging the guest.
Less jumped up and down and clapped his hands for finally
the guest had arrived.

The Guest

Wess, Tess,and Less are singing a merry tune
Their favorite guest will be arriving soon
The special room is all ready for his arrival
Clean sheets on the bed and clean towels are ready
Less even placed on the bed his favorite teddy
Mama Tess went shopping for all the yummy treats
That her guest likes so well
The fridge is stocked with eggs and bacon
On the first morning, that is what Tess will be maken
In the cupboards you see chips and dip
That is so yummy
Less wants it in his tummy
The family is starting to count
as the days start to mount
It will be a happy day when the
favorite guest comes around.

Father's Day

Less is a happy boy
and full of joy
He had a very special Dad
He made him a drawing with paint
and glitter and wrapped it in tissue paper
Less helped his Mama Tess make a chocolate cake
and they let it bake
When it was ready the icing was white and sweet
The cake could not be beat because it was a special treat
The time came for the cake and gift
Papa Wess gave Less a big lift
and said,"I am so lucky to have a wonderful boy
to share my joy!"
Papa Wess gave Less a big Hug and a Kiss.

What A Mess

Baby Less is such a mess
playing in the mud all day
He took his pail and shovel out to play
Mama Tess had said to him,"Stay out of the mud today".
Baby Less didn't hear her words and played in the mud instead.
When he was out there he met his neighbor, Teddy
So both Less and Teddy played all day in the mud
When Less and Teddy came inside into the bath they went
Clean clothes they wore and milk and cookies were in store.
Yum! Yum! Yum!
Tess called Teddy's Mom, Betty
Betty came to the house to sit and chat
Betty brought their cat, Mat
This become another fun day for Less and Tess
And their friends, Teddy and Betty.

Baby Less

Baby Less woke up in the night
He was in such a fright
He cried out loud,"Mama"!
Tess came running to his side
Mama couldn't tell what had frightened
Her dear, Baby Less
For when she picked him up and held
Him in her arms, Baby Less softly
Fell back to sleep
Mama gave her dear, dear son a gentle kiss
and placed him back in bed.

Less Goes Out To Play

One bright sunny day
In the merry month of May
Less went out to play
He took his Mama Tess and his birthday wheeler
He rode his wheeler and his Mama jogged beside him
And on the way they met some friends
They were happy to see baby Tim and Tess's friend,Mim
Tim in his stroller as Mim was walking along
They decided to find the park, so Less and Tim could play
Less and Tim said,OOO! as they came upon the park
They were swinging on the swings, and shouted out with glee
As they went gliding down the slides
With the pails and shovels, they sat in the sand
All of a sudden, they heard a marching band
Less, Tess, Tim and Mim got up and went to the street
To watch the marching band.
Oh! What fun the foursome had!
So, Tess and Mim made plans for another day
In the merry month of May.

The Birthday Party

The day finally came when Less became one
Oh! Less thought the party was so much fun
Mama Tess and Papa Wess invited all their family and friends
To celebrate number 1.
Mama Tess helped him open his gifts.
The best gift of all was the red, yellow, and black low rider that he got
Everyone laughed when Less shouted out,"OOO WEE!"
He walked right over and sat on his wheeler
His feet went to the pedals and he was off! Everyone clapped and cheered.
Baby Less was grinning from ear to ear
Now it was time, for the cake to arrive
Less sat in his high chair as everyone sang, Happy Birthday to you!
He clapped as they sang.
Then it was time to cut the cake, but before the cake was cut, Baby
Less decided to stick his hand and face in the cake. It was a sight
to be seen. While frosting appeared all over his face and his hand
Mama Tess was there to clean up the mess.
Then the cake was cut. The first peice was for Less. Mama Tess bent
down to give him a kiss and instead a big peice of cake landed smack
in her mouth!
Everyone laughed and Mama said,"Thank you, Less", as she gave
him a great big HUG and KISS.

Baby Less

Baby Less is growing and growing
Oh! so big
His favorite food is a fig
He likes to sing and dance
To a merry tune underneath the starlight moon
Baby Less likes his building blocks and builds tall towers,
Forts and castles.
This is his special place when he doesn't want to show his face.
He plays and plays all day long
Until bedtime, when Mama Tess sings a song.

He likes to play with his bouncy toy
He plays all day and sleeps all night
and wakes up without a fight
He likes his food and drink
He is so happy with Tess and Wess
That he shows them with a wink

Tess and Wess are still a bliss
Always beginning and ending the day with a kiss
They are content and know they are meant
To add to their joy comes a boy, Less
They invite their family and friends to share the joy
of the new baby boy

Tess and Wess sat all day
In the merry month of May
Tess made the food and Wess thought, Oh! so good
They stayed awake and talked all through the night
And were so surprised at the mornings light
They vowed to stay true to each other and said there would be no other

A Feeling

I know your presence surrounds me
I think of you quite often
At times, when I pass by our
favorite hangouts, a smile comes upon my face.

or how you would feel about how life has been.
Your windchimes still adorn the outside of my house.
The ringing of the chimes lets me know you still
are near.
There was a time when I heard your voice
ring out in the night.
It was so comforting and I reached out a hand.
The night before my wedding, your voice rang out
loud and clear.
I know you were there to say hello and tell me
about your happiness.
I didnot reach out my hand, but you should know

There are those who come into our lives
like the candle in the wind
Knowing them will be reminders
that you knew them in a different time and place
Moving on makes them unknown as the time passes on
Then there are those who are there only for the
happy or sad times. True they are not.
The kind that you want are those who
are there for always-no matter what.
The best and cherish ones are the ones
who remain in your heart from a distance
The passing time makes no difference,
you just pick up where you left off.

It all happenned six years ago in June
I had to get away to find my peace
and inner strength

as strong as can be
I know now how bold it was
Coming here and not knowing a soul
I didnot know how life would be
All I knew of a dream one night

One dear friend who remains so strong

Glowing in the Night

The moon glows in the night
We count the stars
As they twinkle
Glistening in our sight
To brighten our nights

I am grateful for that night
When I found out where you are
Another call was suppose to happen
I knew it never would
Perhaps I know you all too well
To think that this is so
I do know the reason why
Although it does not make it right
I had always hope for a better way
As I have said many a time
It still remains strong

That Special Place

Even though there are only a few of you
that I still remember and know
I know that it is not what it is all about
Perhaps it is just walking down the hall
Or looking around on the walls to see
how far you have come.
Or the smiling faces of everyone that I see.
Each time I visit I try to think
What makes this place so unique?
Perhaps some day I will figure it out
But, for now I am back day by day.

Coming Home

Some people say you can't go home again
But I choose to disagree
When I walked through those big white doors
My heart skipped a beat
and the warm feelings that had always been there
came out loud and strong
At that moment I realized how much I missed
the place I had once been
My feelings were surely confirmed
when I was greeted with smiling
faces and big hugs hello!
With words of welcome and how have you been
I knew that I had come home!
Even when I pass through other doors big or small
I will think of that place and know I truly belong
And feel glad that I was blessed with such a wonderful place
So now because of that feeling I have, I now know that where ever I go
this special place that remains in my heart
will always be apart of me!

That Day

The day is about to happen
Things are getting ready
The date and place are set
It will be a day to remember
Everything is getting just right
So we can go foward
We will go on our way
As we sail the seas together
To a beautiful and wonderful life!

One By One

The calls are coming one by one
Hoorah! Hoorah!
My phone is ringing off the hook
Hoorah! Hoorah!
I get to look in the teacher's book
Hoorah! Hoorah!
There are many places
Hoorah! Hoorah!
I get to see many faces
Hoorah! Hoorah!
What a lucky gal, Am I!

Missed It

Too bad I missed the calls
I had to go to the malls
Perhaps I should have stayed
and waited for the phone to ring
Then I would be so happy that I would sing!
They can come morning, noon, or night
I just have sit and wait for the phone to ring
Maybe soon I will get a ding a ling.

In the middle of the night

It is something that I knew all along
It is the same old song.
Am I shocked? Maybe not.
Am I numb? Maybe so.
Am I glad that I now know
What my fear was all along?
You Bet!
In times of trouble you have gone away
In this night it all came clear
You always come around.
Just be strong, be tough, and find your way.

I wrote a letter to tell you how much I care
I want to say whatever ails you

It Happened

I waited for the calls to come
All I wanted was just one
Then they came all at once
It made me happy to know I could choose
where I wanted to go
Today I have choosen where I want to be

The New One

I have a Kitty who is so sweet

She is always at my feet

She greets me at the door

and likes the shower floor.

She loves to be petted and taps her little paw on your arm when she wants some more.

Her fur is soft and fluffy

She is a tabby color with yellow-greenish eyes.

I am so glad she became my kitty.

An Ode to My Cat

My cat was big and black
With big green eyes.
Panther was his name.
He was unique in all respects.
He loved the smell of tuna and always came a running.
The sound of plastic made him crazy
An open door made him run,
But I always ran to find him.
He was quite fiesty to say the least,
Sadly, he was released!!

Finding You

You have struggled in your life, made your choices and not allowing me to apart of your life, but I stood by through it all.
